Save the Date | Nov 6 & 7
DMRC will hold a Shelter Exercise on November 6th and 7th. There will be 3 shifts. Volunteers will be able to choose from Friday evening, Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon. Be on the lookout for more details closer to the event dates.
DMRC has contracted Delta Group to design and implement the exercise in conjunction with Delaware Department of Public Health. The exercise is funded through a grant from NACCHO.
Please note: Participants must have completed Shelter 101/201 training prior to the exercise. If you have not completed Shelter 101/201 and would like to participate, please refer to the calendar for the October Shelter 101/201 training dates. A link to the calendar is above.

The Delaware Medical Reserve Corps (DMRC)
is sponsored by the Delaware Division of Public Health
and is a volunteer corps comprised of dedicated medical and non-medical professionals who give their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. Volunteers also participate in health promotion and education in local communities.
The DMRC has three county units (New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties) and provides the structure necessary to pre-identify, pre-credential, pre-train, and activate volunteers in a timely matter.
The DMRC is sponsored by the Delaware Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health, Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness Section, which has contracted with the University of Delaware School of Nursing to coordinate the three county units.
